Halle Berry Might Join Kingsman Sequel

The 2014 film Kingsman: The Secret Service will be getting a sequel and Die Another Day actress Halle Berry is in talks to join the film. The sequel will be directed by Matthew Vaughn who also helmed the original, which was an adaptation of the comic book by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Deadline states that the actress will play the head of the CIA.

Halle Berry was last seen on the big screen in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past. Back in 2002, the actress won the Oscar for her role in Monster’s Ball. She has also worked on the small screen, in the series Extant.

The original Kingsman did quite well at the box office earning $414.4 million worldwide. It starred Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Sofia Boutella and Samuel L. Jackson. Kingsman: The Secret Service 2 will be released on June 16 next year. Last month, it was reported that Julianne Moore was in talks to play the antagonist in the film.
