    Ian Mckellen Hoping To Make Friends In Mumbai

    British actor Ian McKellen will launch the seventh Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival, where more than 182 movies from 53 countries will be screened, on May 25 at Liberty Cinema. Talking about his forthcoming trip to Mumbai, one of the world's finest actors stated, "I hope I shall rapidly make friends there and they'll take me to places they like”.

    Recently, the actor was granted the Global Icon Award at the British LGBT Awards for his activism. The award-winning star is set to visit India as part of Shakespeare Lives on Film, on the occasion of the Bard’s 400th anniversary of death. Speaking about the festival, the actor stated, "I am going to be a guest of the Kashish film festival and there will be gay activists and people there who want to explain the gay experience and I support them. Once the world is at ease with gay people it becomes a better place frankly”.
     

    The Mr. Holmes actor’s public appearances will start from May 23 with a formal discussion on cinema and Shakespeare’s legacy with the perfectionist of Bollywood Aamir Khan.
