Work on the 25th James Bond film has begun with the working title Shatterland, according to a new report. Daniel Craig was previously said to have signed on to return for the fifth time as Agent 007 after a long period of speculation.

On July 25, the New York Times confirmed that Craig would indeed reprise his role as James Bond for an untitled new film, due out in November 2019. Now, a new report by Mirror.co.uk says that the new film will be partially based on a 1999 Bond novel, Never Dream Of Dying by US author Raymond Benson and titled Shatterland.

An insider says that the film will be shot in Croatia, along with Japan and France. “Bond scriptwriters feel it could be the perfect follow-up to Spectre. They are hoping to film in Croatia next year,” the insider said.

The popular TV show Game of Thrones is also shot in the same town, Dubrovnik, which has become a tourist hot-spot after being featured on the HBO show.

The producers were said to be looking at Yann Demange, David Mackenzie and Denis Villeneuve as possible contenders to direct the film.

Craig is said to have done a U-turn on starring as James Bond after famously saying he would rather slash his wrists than act in another film as the famous spy.
