Its Confirmed, Joe Manganiello Is Deathstroke

Recently, Ben Affleck teased the villain of his Batman solo film through a short video clip. It showed Deathstroke, in all his glory, but did not reveal who will be playing the character. After a lot of speculation, DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns confirmed in an interview that it is none other than Joe Manganiello.

Deathstroke was first introduced in the 1980 comic, New Teen Titans No 2. His real name is Slade Wilson who is an expert assassin. His abilities include super strength and stamina. According to reports, Joe was one of the personalities in consideration for the role of Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The solo Batman flick will be directed and co-written by Affleck. He first put on the cape in this year’s DC comics film Batman v Superman. It is expected that the solo Batman flick will hit the screens in 2018.
