It’s official! 'Sherlock Holmes 3' To Release In 2020

' Sherlock Holmes 3 ' is finally happening. And it’s official! The official release date of the flick is Christmas 2020. The third part of the flick will see Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprising their roles as a British detective Sherlock Holmes and Holmes' companion respectively.

Chris Brancato will be the screenwriter of the flick. Bankrolled by Joel Silver, Susan Downey and Lionel Wigram, the flick will see the return to the silver screens after nine years of the second instalment 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'. The second instalment released in 2011.

The first film of the series, ‘Sherlock Holmes’, released in 2009. The mystery period action film is based on the character of the same name created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Helmed by Guy Ritchie, the film was bankrolled by Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey and Dan Lin.
