    Jason Statham Starring in Fast and Furious 8

    Making his short appearence in Fast and Furious 6 as the brother of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), Jason Statham has confirmed his role for the upcoming instalment of the franchise. He became a part of the Fast and Furious team in Part 7 where he played the lead antagonist, Deckard Shaw. The details of his involvement are not yet clear.

    Jason spoke with Access Hollywood and said, “We’re already talking about doing another one, Part 8. I’m a newcomer, I just got invited to the party in this last one, so it’s nice to know I’m going to be doing another”. In an interview with Den of Geek, Jason also talked about his forthcoming projects which included Crank 3. He said, “Crank 3 is something I've always wanted to do”. He added, "The directors want to do it, we're trying to figure things out”.

    A release date of April 14, 2017 has already been set by Universal Pictures for the next issue. Fast and Furious 7 has globally made $1.5 billion till date. It is currently at #3 on the all-time box office chart. The seven movies have been directed by James Wan, Justin Lin, Vin Diesel, Rob Cohen, John Singleton and Philip Atwell.
