Joan Collins Wears Look That Suites Her

Valentino: The Last Emperor star Joan Collins is known for her glamorous image. However, the actress has said that she has never followed beauty trends. The 84-year-old has said that she follows the advice of one of her actress friend. She admitted that one of the best advices she was ever given was to go for a look that suites her and not to go by the changing trend. She still feels happy to wear a bold lip colour.

"An actress friend of mine gave me some advice years ago. She said, 'You don't have to follow trends or fads. Find something that suits you in your 30s and stay with it,’” Collins said.

The Saving Santa actress added, “So my make-up hasn't changed that much. I still wear bright lipstick and I have a great collection of them." Joan said that she felt most beautiful when she starred in the show 'Dynasty' as Alexis Colby. When asked her whether she looked her best in ‘Dynasty’ she said, "The 80s when I was doing 'Dynasty', I came into my own in terms of my looks. I was on 600 magazine covers, so I was quite pleased with myself." The actress also revealed that there was a time when she felt insecure about her appearance because of the harsh comments of Hollywood producers.
