Johnny Depp Will Have A Major Role In Fantastic Beasts Sequel

The Harry Potter spin-off 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' will hit theatres soon and the fans are quite eager to get the feel of the wizarding universe once again. The movie stars Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell and Katherine Waterston. Now, a Warner Bros. representative has shared that Johnny Depp is also present in the film for a cameo role.

While he will only be seen for a short time on screen in the November 18 release, he will have a much more prominent role in the sequel. The second part will also have Eddie Redmayne as the lead actor. While details about Depp’s role in the film aren’t available as of yet, it is sure to be a good addition nonetheless.

Directed by David Yates, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' has been based on J.K. Rowling’s novel series by the same name. It is set 60 years before the Harry Potter era. Eddie plays the wizard and explorer Newt Scamander who brings with him a briefcase filled with magical creatures.
