Actor Jon Hamm has been tapped to star in supernatural thriller 'Off Season’.  The film marks the feature debut of director Jonathan van Tulleken who is directing the film from his own script, based on his BAFTA nominated short of the same name. The movie will be produced by Nira Park through her Big Talk Pictures and J. Miles Dale through his Demilo Productions banner.

The film is set in the harsh, frozen Canadian tundra and focus on a man, played by Jon, who goes on a mission of searching for his elderly father who had mysteriously disappeared. As he feverishly goes looking for his father, he is exposed to some shocking family secrets which were long buried but not forgotten by vengeful forces at work. The makers are planning to start rolling the film by early next year.

“I’ve been thinking obsessively about taking this material to the big screen for several years. It’s a story and world that I feel like I have lived and breathed,” van Tulleken said in a statement. He added, “I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to do this with such a highly esteemed team around me. Nira Park and Miles Dale are two of the most gifted and respected producers working in film, and on top of that, to have Jon Hamm in the lead role is the kind of good fortune few first time filmmakers are afforded. I cannot wait to see him bring his immense talent to the role of Tenn.”
