Getting a prestigious Oscar award would mean a lot in anyone’s life. They would keep that golden statuette at a special place in their house. But, Kate Winslet is not like others who would keep the trophy decorated in her house.

The 41-year-old has revealed that she keeps the Academy Award trophy in her “loo” so that people can have a chance to spend some alone time with the trophy. During an interview, the gorgeous actress said, “That’s the reason for it being in the toilet. I wanted to give people an opportunity to have that moment.”

Kate stated that she got the idea from Oscar-winner Emma Thompson, who kept her award at the back of her loo. “I remember when I went to Emma Thompson’s house when I was much younger and didn’t have an Oscar. Her Oscar was on the back of the loo and I picked it up, and then years later I was giving my own speech. I couldn’t believe it. Never give up on your dreams,” said the Mountains Between Us star. Kate has won an Oscar in the Best Actress category for her role in the 2009 movie The Reader.

She is all set to reunite with her Titanic director James Cameron after 20 years for his upcoming Avatar sequels.
