'Lethal Weapon 5' To Move Ahead With Original Cast Members

It has been heard that Mel Gibson's Lethal Weapon is all set to add another film to its franchise. According to the latest news, Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Richard Donner are teaming up for this project. It is said to be a development of the 1998 movie Lethal Weapon 4.

Moreover, it has been learnt that if the project moves ahead, the new motion picture will be directed by Donner. Channing Gibson who wrote the fourth script will be writing the fifth version of the film’s script. The first film got released in 1987 whose story revolves around Glover, a veteran cop, partnered with a younger, daring officer, Gibson, who work together to solve crimes.

 The flick has pulled in more than USD 156 million and has led to the generation of three successful sequels. The last version of Lethal Weapon film was out in 1998. 'Lethal Weapon 4' featured Chris Rock and Jet Li alongside Gibson, Glover, Pesci, Russo and Love. Moreover, reports reveal that Warner Bros. has been signed on for the next movie.
