    Linda Cardellini roped in for McDonald’s biopic ‘The Founder’

    After B. J. Novak and Michael Keaton, Linda Cardellini has also been roped in for the McDonald’s biopic. The movie will reveal how McDonalds’ emerged as one of the top fast food chains in the world. Cardellini has been finalised for the role of Joan Kroc, the third wife of Ray Kroc.

    The story of this biopic is going to be based on Ron Kroc, who took over the small burger shop run by two brothers and turned it into the worlds’ biggest fast food chain. Robert Siegel has penned the script of this biopic. Michael Keaton will play the lead role of Ray Kroc and B. J. Novak will play a rising McDonald’s executive. John Carroll Lynch will play his brothers’ character.

    ‘The Founder’ will be a production of Jeremy Renner, Don Handfield along with FilmNation. The shooting of the film is scheduled for Atlanta, from June 1. The Weinstein Co. acquired the rights for the film this year itself.
