    The Sunday, April 13, evening was dedicated to Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the MTV Movie Awards ceremony as it was the biggest winner of the night. This award ceremony was meant for the commercial hits like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and This is the End, keeping aside critically acclaimed Oscar winners like 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle.

    The Hunger Games: Catching Fire took away three biggest trophies for the Best Movie, Best Female and Best Male performances. While receiving his award for the Best Male Performance Josh Hutcherson observed a brief silence in order to pay tribute to late Philip Seymour Hoffman who died of drug overdose in February. The actor said, “To have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world.” “He's one of the actors I've looked up to my entire life. We think about him every day on set,” he added more. He also said, “I grew up watching these awards…and now it's here and I'm here and it's like the coolest thing in the world.” Here is the complete list of the winners:
