Neil Patrick Harris confirms that he will host Oscars

Neil Patrick Harris will host the 87th Academy Awards on Feb. 22, 2015, he tweeted out on Wednesday. The 41-year-old actor, who has previously hosted the Emmy Awards and the Tonys, is shown on a cell phone in the video in which he simply says, "I'm in" and then, "Nice."

The former star of the TV series, "How I Met Your Mother," Harris can currently be seen in the film "Gone Girl" with Ben Affleck. He recently won a Tony Award for his starring role in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" on Broadway and he has a new book out called, "Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography."
