Australian actress Nicole Kidman was among the several celebrities who were present at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada. While talking to the press, Nicole shared her thoughts on the condition of Hollywood and how she feels there isn’t a Hollywood anymore. She also stated that the industry has to face new challenges in this age and that film festivals have become an integral part of promotion.

“We’re all scattered around the world and we make films all around the world and Hollywood is of some bygone era now, which is sad in a way”, Nicole shared. Hollywood used to be the centre of the American film industry at some point in the past. Talking about the challenges, the 49-year-old actress said that the era of online streaming and absence of corner video stores are some of the problems the cinemas have to face.

On the work front, the ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ actress will soon be seen on the big screen in Garth Davis’ ‘Lion’. The movie premiered at the film festival and received a widely positive response. It stars Dev Patel, Rooney Mara and David Wenham, along with Nicole.
