Octavia Spencer To Star In Director Tate Taylor’s Ma

Latest news reveals that actress Octavia Spencer is all set to reunite director Tate Taylor for the film Ma. Tate Taylor, who had earlier helmed The Help, will be working on the new psychological thriller. Moreover, the film is being bankrolled by Oscar-nominated smash Get Out production house, Jason Blum’s Blumhouse.

 Talking about Octavia, Taylor said. “Octavia is so damn likable that we usually see her in certain roles. But she’s such a good actress and this is such a complex character that if I do my job right, people in the audience are going to want to push pause and say, ‘Can we please take you out for coffee so you don’t do what you’re about to do”.

However, Octavia’s role in the film is yet unknown as Tay hasn’t revealed anything about it. Meanwhile, Blum is also developing a Roger Ailes mini-series for Showtime titled Secure and Hold. Meanwhile, talking about the movie, Taylor said that more than being scary the film is going to make people think. She said, “It’s going to have meaning and purpose”.
