    Oprah Winfrey May Cast In Disney's A Wrinkle in Time

    Variety is reporting that Oprah Winfrey is in final negotiations to join the cast of Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time that was written by Jennifer Lee who co-wrote Frozen. Oprah will reportedly play Mrs. Which, one of the three Mrs. Ws that helps guide the children along their journey. Mrs. Which is one of three immortal women who appear in A Wrinkle in Time. The others include Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who.

    A Wrinkle in Time follows “a young girl whose government scientist father has gone missing after working on a mysterious project called a tesseract, which involves being transported to a fifth dimension with mysterious inhabited planets. She takes part in a search for her father and sees some incredible creatures along the way.”

    Frozen screenwriter and co-director Jennifer Lee is adapting A Wrinkle in Time into a screenplay, with Jim Whitaker and Catherine Hand producing. A Wrinkle in Time marks the first title in L’Engle’s four-book Time Quartet series, which also includes A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet and Many Waters. The adaptation is set to be directed by Ava Duvernay (Selma).
