Rebecca Ferguson confirmed as the female lead in Mission Impossible 5

The beautiful Sweden beauty, actress Rebecca Ferguson has been confirmed to play the female lead opposite Tom Cruise in the fifth instalment of the Mission Impossible series. The actress was brought on board after Jessica Chastain turned down the role.

Rebecca was in contention for the big role after her performance in The White Queen was pretty much applauded. It was her first role in English for which she was even nominated in the Golden Globe awards. She will very soon be seen in Brett Ratner’s ‘Hercules’. Meanwhile actor Alec Baldwin is also reportedly in talks with the makers to join the cast. The actor is expected to be next CIA chief in the movie very much like Laurence Fishburne in the third instalment. MI 5 will see Tom Cruise reprising his character of Ethan Hunt the CIA agent. Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg will also be there in the movie. Directed by Chris McQuarrie the film is written by Drew Pearce and is slated to be a Christmas 2015 release.
