Rian Johnson Shares Two New Set Photos For Star Wars Episode VIII

With the production for the highly anticipated Star Wars film - Episode VIII - halfway, director Rian Johnson has released two new set photos on his Tumblr page. Rian shared, “Good. Bad. I’m the guy with the microfiber sham. I can’t believe we’re halfway through the shoot. (We’re halfway through the shoot!)”.

Episode VIII will continue from where Episode VII, The Force Awakens left the story. It will bring back Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, John Boyega as Finn, Lupita Nyong’o as the voice of Maz Kanata and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron. Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will also be returning as their iconic characters Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker.

The new additions to the cast of Episode VIII include Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran. Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman have produced the project with J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin and Tom Karnowski serving as executive producers. The movie will be released on December 15 next year.
