Oscar-winning filmmaker Ron Howard has been a part of the entertainment industry since his childhood. As far as his acting career is concerned, he was last seen playing himself in Drunk History creator Jeremy Konner’s parody flick ‘Donald Trump's The Art of the Deal: The Movie’. And well, it seems like that the 62-year-old actor is in no mood to make his acting comeback as of now.

When enquired about his plans to face the camera again, Howard told IANS, “Oh I am not”. Earlier, the director has reportedly stated, “I do move from film to film, I've never had the time to commit, but one of these days, I am going to make the time”. However, now Howard dismissed his own statement saying that it was a joke.

“I was kind of joking when I said that”, Howard stated, adding “It would be fun if I had a short window to do a supporting role in something, but I am so busy with Imagine Entertainment (his production company with Brian Grazer) and busy directing and producing movies and television shows, that I really don't have time to go work on somebody else's project”.

The actor also stated that he believes acting is a great building block for directors. Howard is currently occupied with the promotional activities of his upcoming mystery thriller ‘Inferno’. The movie stars Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones and Irrfan Khan.
