The last Bond movie ‘Spectre’ did a fantastic business at the box office. Despite getting mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audiences the film created havoc at the box office and grossed $880.7 million worldwide. The director of the film Sam Mendes has made a shocking revelation regarding his future now.

The veteran filmmaker while attending the Hay Festival of literature in Wales said that he has no plans of helming the next James Bond movie. He said, "It was an incredible adventure, I loved every second of it. But I think it's time for somebody else".

The news came as a shocker to the movie buffs. Mendes gave one of the best and intriguing Bond movies in the form of ‘Skyfall’. Many can’t digest the news that he won’t helm the next part of the popular spy series that started with Sean Connery's startling 1962 performance in ‘Dr. No’. He now plans to direct movies of other genre. He said, "I'm a storyteller. And at the end of the day, I want to make stories with new characters".
