    Scarlett Johansson Roped In For Psychological Thriller ‘Tangerine’

    Imperative Entertainment will be developing a cinematic adaptation of Christine Mangan's debut novel after acquiring the rights for the project. The movie has been titled ‘Tangerine’ and will star Scarlett Johansson as the female lead. The novel has been touted as a psychological thriller.

    Set against the political climate of 1950s Morocco, ‘Tangerine’ tells the story of two women, whose lives cross paths twice, ending up in disaster both times. The movie will be produced by Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, George Clooney and Grant Heslov. Friedkin spoke about the project and shared, “Christine has created an evocative and electrifying novel. We're thrilled to not only be working with George, Grant, and the talented team at Smokehouse Pictures, but also one of the most skilled actors on the planet in Scarlett. This is an all-star team and we can't wait to bring this stunning tale to life”.

    Johansson will soon be heard as the voice of Ash in the upcoming animated film ‘Sing’. She will also be leading the cast of ‘Ghost in the Shell’ which has been directed by Rupert Sanders. The movie will hit theatres on March 31 next year.
