Paramount Pictures has gained the right to the best-selling novel by Erik Larson titled The Devil in the White City. The big screen adaptation will bring together director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio for the sixth time. It has been planned for a long time and now things finally seem to be moving forward.

DiCaprio will be playing the role of serial killer Dr. H.H. Holmes. Jennifer Killoran, DiCaprio’s producing partner said, “I think that a guy who is that intelligent and that charismatic is nothing less than complex, and it’s that complexity that (DiCaprio) is drawn to. And because people don’t know much about him, it makes it even more interesting”.

The duo first teamed up for the 2002 film Gangs of New York. In 2004 it was The Aviator, followed by The Departed in 2006, Shutter Island in 2010 and The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013. The directors next film Silence is currently without a release date while DiCaprio will be seen in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revanant this December.
