Seth Rogen comedy earns 51 million dollars on debut weekend

Seth Rogen and Zac Efroncomedy Neighbors pushed last week's champ The Amazing Spider-Man 2 to second place with its estimated 51 million dollars opening. However, Cameron Diaz starrer The Other Woman remained in the third position.

Directed by Nicholas Stoller and written by Andrew Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, Neighbors is apparently a story of a young couple who are forced to live next to a fraternity house after the birth of their newborn baby. The movie won the weekend box office and is expected to do well in the coming days.

Greg Kinnear and Kelly Reilly starrer Heaven Is for Real and Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson starrer Captain America: The Winter Soldier managed to earn 7 million dollars and 5.6 million dollars in the weekend, respectively.
