Hot Fuzz actor Simon Pegg recently opened up about his acting crisis that he faced after ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. He revealed that he wanted to quit acting after the film. Simon played the role of Unkar Plutt, the junk dealer on Jakku.

According to Observer, Simon stated, “I had a bit of a crisis of confidence afterwards. I hadn't had the chance to take stock, and I came home to the UK and I was pretty sure I wanted to quit acting”. He added, “I called my agent and I said - this is an absolutely true story, and ridiculous if a little name-droppy - but I said: 'Look, I want to take some time off and think about what I want to do next.' I was being a bit dramatic. I said: 'Don't call me for the next six months, unless like, Steven Spielberg calls.' Then, of course, my phone rang”.

The actor also stated that Spielberg is a huge inspiration for him. He will be working on the director’s ‘Ready Player One’ which is a cinematic adaptation of Ernest Cline’s best-selling 2011 sci-fi novel.  The cast includes Mark Rylance, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller and Tye Sheridan, along with Simon.
