Latest news reveals that She’s Gotta Have It is about to have its second season very soon. Recently, Spike Lee and DeWanda Wise announced that the series has been renewed for a second season. Lee took to her social media account to confirm the news officially via an Instagram video and Wise also posted a picture of herself from season one with a caption.

It read, “Back ta werq! Season [2] is OFFICIAL!!! Can’t wait to return to BK. Congrats to [all of us]”. Lee plays Nola Darling in the TV adaptation of Lee’s 1986 indie film. This series also marks Lee’s first foray into series television, which has garnered optimistic reviews.

Moreover, the character Nola Darling played by Lee is an uncompromising woman in her late twenties. She lives Brooklyn and struggles to define herself and divide her time among her friends, her job, and her lovers. 10 episodes of the first season of the series have been directed by Lee herself. Meanwhile, Tonya Lewis, Barry Michael Cooper and Lynn Nottage are also producers.
