Star Trek Beyond Trailer Finally Revealed

The third instalment in the rebooted Star Trek franchise and the much anticipated film Star Trek Beyond has got its first official trailer. The trailer was released by Skydance Productions and Paramount Pictures and shows off the characters from the franchise, as well as some new ones. The movie will be directed by Justin Lin.

The 1 minute 34 second trailer shows some of the action sequences present in the film as well as provides little detail on the plot. The movie will bring back Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho. The newcomers to the franchise include Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Joe Taslim.

Written by Doug Jung, Robert Orci, John D. Payne and Patrick McKay, Star Trek Beyond will be released on July 22 next year. The movie is produced by J.J. Abrams. The first Star Trek episode titled ‘The Man Trap’ was aired on September 8, 1966, which makes the franchise 50 years old.
