    Sully Tops Weekend Box Office Once Again

    Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart’s ‘Sully’ retains its position at the top of the weekend box office with $22 million. Running on its second weekend, ‘Sully’ tells the story of Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger who saved the lives of 155 passengers and crew members on US Airways Flight 1549 by landing it in the Hudson River. The movie has been directed by Clint Eastwood.

    The newly released ‘Blair Witch’ saw on opening weekend of $9.6 million. The movie stars Callie Hernandez, James Allen McCunen and Corbin Reid and has been directed by Adam Wingard. The horror flick was made on a budget of $5 million and has grossed $14.5 million worldwide. Also released this weekend was ‘Bridget Jones's Baby’ which brought in $8.2 million with a worldwide collection of $38 million.

    ‘Snowden’, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, had a slow start with $8 million on its opening weekend. The movie tells the story of American computer professional and former Central Intelligence Agency employee, Edward Snowden, who leaked classified information of National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013. Fede Alvarez’s ‘Don’t Breathe’ made it to the top five again with its $5.6 million. Running on its fourth weekend, the movie has grossed $107 million worldwide. This comes as great news for the filmmakers as the budget for the film was just $9.9 million.
