Teach Your Children To Be Compassionate: Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. She was honoured at the recent World Economic Forum (WEF). While speaking at the forum, the actress said that we should teach our children to be tolerant and compassionate.

The actress also talked about shouldering the burden of refugees by developed countries. She said, "Even welcoming countries are having to close their borders to those in need. Refugees are aware of the risk but they have been left with no other options".

She further added, "The only way to find sustainable solutions is to open up your worldview and to listen to other people's opinions". She said that a right platform can give anyone the opportunity to stand for what they believe in. On a related note, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was also honoured at the World Economic Forum with the actress.
