The Conjuring 2 Demonic Nun Will Get Own Film

The scary nun from 'The Conjuring' films is set to get her movie. Following the phenomenal success of James Wan's supernatural horror films starring Patrick Wilson as paranormal investigator Ed Wilson, his possessed adversary, played by Bonnie Aarons, is set to get her own film titled 'The Nun'.

One interesting fact about the nun is that the makers were not able to finalize its look and features, until during the movie's reshoots. In fact, she only existed three months before the second Conjuring movie was released on the big screen, The Hollywood Reporter said. She was only added last minute during the reshoots.

The Conjuring 2 has already grossed over $100 million worldwide from a $40 million budget over its opening weekend. The sequel's predecessor, The Conjuring, opened with $41.8 million, en route to $137.4 million domestic and $318 million worldwide, from a $20 million budget. The 2014 spinoff, Annabelle was also a hit with audiences, earning $84.2 million domestic and $256.8 million worldwide, from just a $6.5 million budget.
