Bhama To Go Blind In Her Next

Bhama will make a comeback in the Kannada industry with PC Shekar’s Raaga. In the film, the 28-year-old actress is essaying the role of a visually impaired girl alongside co-star Mitra. While talking about the plot of the film, the director of the film, Shekar has revealed that through his film he is portraying that love cannot be measured with one’s physical appearance or financial status in society. He feels that it is a lot deeper.

Talking about Bhama’s role in the film, Shekar said, “I wrote this story and the first person that came to my mind about who should play this role was Bhama. The character requires a really great performance. I have worked with Bhama earlier and therefore have the confidence that she will carry the role through aptly. She too signed up for the role immediately after listening to the story with no questions about who was going to be cast opposite her, etc. She began training for the role as playing a visually impaired individual is not easy. Right from appearances to body language and the kind of materials and equipment they use — every detail is sensitive and extremely important. Our male lead is Mitra, a comedian who is playing lead for the first time. The casting is perfect and that is half the battle won.”

In the film, we will witness the magical love story of the lead actors. However, they never see each other but are connected emotionally and musically. While talking about how he came up with the brilliant notion of making a film on a visually impaired lead, Shekar revealed that he drew inspiration from Tamil actor Vikram.
