Sandalwood actor Dhananjaya seems interested in trying new things. The actor has begun a new inning of sorts yesterday which was his first day on the set of the bilingual Bhairava Geetha. The film is being directed by 25-year-old debutant Siddhartha and will be bankrolled by Ram Gopal Varma and his partner Bhaskar Rai.

The movie is being made in both Kannada and Telugu simultaneously. Talking about the movie, the actor said, “We are shooting at a place called Pulivendula, located around 5 hours away from Bengaluru. It is a young team. But heading to the shoot on the first day, felt like my first time and first day at school. It is not just another new film; it is one in a new language as well. It is a mix of nervous energy filled with excitement”. The team will work on a non-stop 45-day schedule in and around this region.

About the story, Ram Gopal Varma has said, “It’s a violent love story of a henchman who turns into a rebel in a fight between feudal-minded oppressors and the downtrodden. Dhananjaya has an amazing versatility in his approach to a role, very effectively demonstrated in many of his works including the recent blockbuster Tagaru”. Moreover, Dhananjaya has recently won the Film fare Critics Award for Best Actor for his film Allama.
