Kempegowda 2 To Have A Newbie Niva Sharma

Actor Komal’s next film titled Kempegowda 2 is ready to go on floors. The movie which is produced by Shankar Gowda, Vinod Gowda and Shankar Reddy will start rolling this week. The flick will see Komal as a khaki-clad cop.

Apart from producing, Shankar Gowda has also helmed the movie. Talking about directing the film, Shankar said, "Initially, we thought that adman Rosh Mohan would direct the film, but he's working on another one of our projects. Considering that this film is based on my script, we thought that it is only apt that I direct, as I am the best person to bring my vision to the big screen.”

The movie marks the debut of Mumbai-based model Niva Sharma to Kannada cinema. "We auditioned close to 100 girls for the lead role in Kempegowda 2. Niva came to us through a casting co-ordinator and during her screen test, which included her enacting scenes to depict three different emotions and a bit of dance, she really impressed us, and that's how we decided to cast her," revealed the director. The actress is currently mastering her skills in Kannada language for her role.  

Niva will play modern girl from an ultra-rich family. Owing to certain circumstances she meets Komal who helps her in solving her problems.
