Rashmika Mandanna To Turn An Investigative Officer

Rashmika Mandanna has made her debut from Kirik Party and since then the actress has been approached by many filmmakers. Rashmika Mandanna has played the leading lady in a bunch of high-profile starrers. And now she has chosen something interesting as well as different from what she has played till now.

The actress is now all set to essay the role of a cop. The movie will be directed by newcomer R Gautham Iyer which will see Rashmika in a gritty avatar of an investigative officer.The director praises Rashmika and said, “Rashmika has long been known as the sweet Saanvi (her character in Kirik Party). But in this film, she will prove that she is made of sterner stuff and break out of that conventional mode. Of course, she has an innocent face, but behind it, she’s an equally powerful performer. Which is why we felt she perfectly fits the bill,” explains Gautham”.

Rashmika seems quite excited about her new avatar and apart from playing a cop, she will also be seen as a chess player in the film. The plot will revolve around her solving her first case. “I’ve already started training in the game. I will also interact with some officers from the crime branch to prepare for my role,” says the actor who has upped her fitness routine for the film. The yet to be titled movie will go on floors in the last week of July.
