Richa Panai Excited About Her Kannada Debut

After trying her hands in Mollywood and Tollywood, actress Richa Panai is all set to make her debut in Sandalwood industry. Her Kannada film titled Buguri will release next week and Richa is quite excited to be a part of Ganesh's 25th film. “When I was offered this film, I decided to watch a few Kannada films, which included Mungaru Male and Krishna, to do my homework and understand the sensibilities of the industry before I signed it. I also realized that both Ganesh and Sridhar are big brands and that Sridhar had just given a superhit in Bulbul”, said Richa.

Talking of her character in the film, Richa said, “I have two different shades to my character. I will be seen as a sweet and bubbly college-goer in one part, while the other half has me as a more mature grown-up. This gave me a lot of scope to perform, considering it was my first film in Kannada. The team, too, was a treat to work with as they made me feel at ease on the set, helped me understand the language and learn my lines”.

When Richa was asked about Erica, who is playing the other female lead in the film, she said, “Unfortunately, we do not share any scenes in the film. But I got to meet her during our schedule in Malaysia, as well as at the audio launch and a few other times. We have a friendly equation and she's sweet”.
