Shiva Rajkumar To Play Father In ‘Thande’

Apart from Telugu and Hindi versions, filmmaker Samuthirakani is planning to remake Tamil film Appa in Kannada as well. “Given an opportunity, I want to do it in 15 languages, but right now, I plan to it take up in three”, he told Indian Express. The director has roped in Shiva Rajkumar to play the lead role of a father in the Sandalwood movie, titled ‘Thande’.

Samuthirakani said, “I could not think of anyone else. I have already discussed the project with him, and he has also shown interest”. He added that he wants to show the original movie to Shivanna before starting with the shoot of ‘Thande’. “I want his opinion on it. I will then start off with the project in Kannada, as soon as he gives me the dates”, he said.

He further said, “This is a very good concept. I'm sure, after doing this film, he will called 'Father' by all the children of Karnataka”. Talking about the flick, he told Indian Express, “It is a universal subject, and talks about education system and the father-son relationship. It's a story that needs to be told”.
