Vidyullekha Raman: I Am Glad That I Got To Act In My Second Kannada Film Soon After My Debut

Film actress and theatre performer Vidyullekha Raman ventured into Sandalwood this year after garnering love from Telugu and Tamil film industry. Best known for her roles in films like ‘Neethaane En Ponvasantham’ and ‘Sarrainodu’, Vidyu is also a renowned comedienne. She made her debut in the Kannada film industry with Nikhil Kumar’s ‘Jaguar’, which released this past October.

Vidyu will next be seen in Dayal Padmanabhan’s romantic comedy titled ‘Satya Harishchandra’. Touching upon her character in the flick, Vidyu stated, “I play a village belle, who is the daughter of the village head and I'm seen throughout with Sharan. In fact, this is an outrightly hilarious character and I even get my own song. I am glad that I got to act in my second Kannada film soon after my debut”.

When asked whether she would like to do more of films from Sandalwood, Vidyu stated, “I definitely want to tap the market and do more films. In fact, if you take note of the industries across all four South Indian states, there is no female comedienne in my age group. I hope to break into that and do more roles”.

The flick stars Sharan and Bhavana in the lead roles.
