Arya to play dusky village girl in her next
The Badai Bungalow star Arya will play a prominent role in Kunjiramayanam. Talking of her role in the film, the actress revealed that she had to go dusky to play the character of a village girl. The film also stars Vineeth Sreenivasan. Going against the types of roles that she has played in the past, the actress will portray a de-glam version, for this project.
Stating how she loves her character in the film, she said, “I play Mallika, a simple village girl who wears Dhawanis and sports oiled hair. My skin tone too will be duskier. I have never taken on such a look, and the character is in complete contrast to what I have done so far. But I believe that one becomes an actor when they do something diametrically opposite to their real life persona, and that's what I am doing in Kunjiramayanam”.
She continued, “Though Mallika has only a few scenes, she is crucial to the movie and its climax. And working with the team was quite awesome. There has not been one dull moment in the shooting location”.
