Captain To Have Real-life Football Players

It seems that many Mollywood filmmakers do not want to leave any stone unturned to make film and characters look authentic. Instead of making actors portray a character, they are roping in real life people to fit the bill. Following the footsteps of Action Hero Biju and Angamaly Diaries, director Prajesh Sen also plans to rope in fresh talents to play an important role in a biopic on former India football captain V P Sathyan, which is titled Captain.

The movie which is sought to be made on a budget of 15 crore will see Jayasuriya and Anu Sithara playing the lead. Talking about the movie, the director said, "Close to 8,500 players from various clubs across the state had applied for the audition. We conducted a camp and selected 700, out of which 75 footballers will be seen playing in various matches in the film."

The movie will feature 75 real-life footballers. Moreover, besides actors, many people who have coached Sathyan will also be seen in the movie. The film will show three phases of the footballer's life and therefore will depict the actor in three getups.
