Happy Birthday: Dulquer Salmaan Turns 29

One of the reputed names of Mollywood cinema, Dulquer Salmaan has turned 29 today. In his initial days he was recognized as Mammootty’s son but just in few years the actor has established his name in the industry. Salmaan was offered Shyamaprasad’s Ritu and also N. Linguswamy’s debut film but the actor rejected both the proposals. He wanted to study cinema before entering films. Salmaan marked his debut in Mollywood with Second Show, which released in 2012. In this year, he featured in the National Awards winning film Ustad Hotel. Salmaan's mediocre launch surprised many in the industry.

Salmaan is also an established businessman. Before entering the entertainment industry, Salmaan ran a web portal for trading cars. He also heads a successful dental business chain in Chennai. Dalquer is the director of Bangalore based Motherhood Hospital.

He is the only actor from Mollywood, who was listed as one of the most desirable men, last year. He was voted as Kochi Times most desirable men in an online poll conducted by India Times. Also, he was ranked 7^th from Chennai and 45^th in Times Most Desirable Men 2014.
