Celebrities from the entertainment industry are coming up to help the victims of Kerela floods. And now, Jayasurya and Asif Ali along with their friends and volunteers have started a collection point at MPM auditorium in Thammanam, Kochi. The two stars have requested people to contribute as much as possible.

They urged people to help even it is a minute contribution to help those affected by the devastating flood the State is currently battling. Asif said that food is the need of the hour. He added, “The number of people in the relief camps is increasing and you need food, medicines, sanitary napkins. In Pulpally itself, 6000 people have arrived at the camp and so, we need every help and every item we can get”.

The actor also implored people to not misuse the items that were collected. “I was gutted when I heard that the mats collected (for relief) from the Regional Sports Centre were sold at Onam markets. Please don’t do that. People should understand the situation and behave. Even pharmacies are showing hesitance in giving medicines but please cooperate,” Asif said.
