Top 5 Hrithik Roshan Controversies You Didn't Know!

Junior Roshan's name has become synonymous with controversies. Recently he has got into a legal trouble with his 'Krrish 3' co-actor and apparently his ex-girlfriend, Kangana Ranaut. Hrithik had sent a legal notice to Kangana for making derogatory comments about him. Hrithik accused Kangana of hacking and even said that she suffers from a mental condition. But the turn of events has been such that Hrithik has got into more legal trouble with his 'Pope' comment. He has been served a legal notice by Abraham Mithai, the former Vice Chairman of State Minorities Commission.

But this is only one part of this chapter, Hrithik is controversy's favourite child. Earlier also he has had his name attached to various rumours. 

1. Closeness with Barbara Mori.

As far as our memory goes, it started with 'Kites' when his name was associated with his Mexican co-star, Barbara Mori. If rumours are to be believed, Hrithik Roshan was forbidden from working with Barabara Mori. Apparently, Hrithik's father and wife both had a problem with the chemistry he shared with the actor. The momentum around it built so much that the Mexican beauty was blamed for Hrithik's split with his wife, Sussanne Roshan. 

2. Divorce with Sussanne Roshan.

After Hrithik Roshan's marriage with wife Sussanne Roshan broke, Arjun Rampal was drawn into the controversy as he was accused of his closeness with Sussanne but all three of them brushed off the rumours. Sussanne and Junior Roshan parted ways after almost being together for 14 years. It all started from Kites and since then Sussanne left home multiple times. She left after the Barabara Mori controversy broke and came back, but maybe things had started to get bad from there and that was the deal breaker and following this, the two filed for a divorce and got separated in 2014. 

3. Trouble with Salman Khan. 

After Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Guzaarish' was released, Salman Khan had commented, "koi kutta bhi nahin gaya" which triggered a war of words between Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan. Hrithik had then said, "it's not heroic to laugh or make fun of a filmmaker just because his BO collections are not up there with yours. 'Guzaarish' is a super success in its own way."

The film featured Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in pivotal roles. 

4. Hrithik's Kiss with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

As Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was about to get married to Junior Bachchan, she played a glamorous role in 'Dhoom:2' opposite Hrithik Roshan. The controversy was not related to the role but the kiss between the two which didn't go well with the Bachchan clan. On Bachchan family's request the duration of their steamy lip lock was later reduced. 

5. His 'alleged' link-up with Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Kareena Kapoor was to star in 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' opposite Hrithik Roshan, but Kareena walked out of the project and Amisha was given the role. Although, Hrithik and Kareena have later done films together which include 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum', 'Yaadein', 'Main prem Ki Deewani Hoon' among others. 

The two were rumoured to have an affair at that time but Sussanne cleared the air and slammed the rumours. But the two never worked together after that.
