5 Reasons Super Hit Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai is Extremely Dumb

We all have watched and loved and re-watched and followed Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai since its release in 2000. The movie, which became a super-hit and even garnered critical appreciation, is still remembered and loved by a large portion of audience. Many remember it to be an entertaining film with catchy songs, and there are some who even feel that the film is genuinely good.

Not to say that people who feel that way are wrong. But yeah, they are. 

The movie, which launched the careers of Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel, is incredibly over-rated, now come to think of it. From its implausible plot to mediocre acting, its genuinely surprising that the film became such a phenomenon. But what really bugs the senses, is the DUMBNESS.

The sheer, unrelenting dumbness.

Really, it's shockingly dumb.

Ameesha Patel's turn as the rich, pampered and ignorant Saun-ya really gets on your nerves real quick. 

The beach romance got many people talking but the deal was really the most clichéd thing ever.

You just don't find your dead boyfriend's look-alike, the moment you are trying to move on. 

The masterplan to catch the killers of dead Hrithik is full of flaws. And why did the new Hrithik had to come back in the first place? I mean, a lot of danger could have been avoided. Ameesha goes back to New Zealand with him anyways. 

And this bloody dance step. Netted vest, notwithstanding.

Did you know the movie was subsequently added to the Limca Book of Records for the highest number of awards won by a Bollywood film (102)?

Crazy world, ain't it?
