According to Salman Khan, THIS is The Reason Raees Got Delayed!

Just when we were getting ready for Shah Rukh Khan vs Salman Khan this year, it was announced last month that Shah Rukh Khan's Raees has been delayed.

It was soon concluded that Shah Rukh Khan's decison to delay his movie, was directly to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's Sultan. Some even concluded that Salman Khan has intimidated Shah Rukh Khan, and the latter's film wouldn't have won at the Box-office if the two films went head-to-head.

In a recent press conference held for the promotional purpose of Sultan, Salman Khan was quizzed by the reporters about whether SRK had delayed Raees because of his film. The actor responded by saying," I don’t think so. The film was not ready.” 

According to Salman, the problem is not that anybody was afraid but that the system doesn't support two big movies releasing together. 

I think two big films should not clash it’s a loss of distributors and exhibitors. It’s nothing to do with Shah Rukh, or me but it’s the loss of distributors and exhibitors. We do not have so many theatres and screens to release two films together. Our industry is really not growing this way. We need more screens to have two big release on the same date," the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actor said.

Well, that settles it.

Sultan will release on July 6, while Raees has been shifted to next year and will release on January 26, 2017.
