Azhar's 'Oye Oye' Music Review: Originals Are So Much Better

Azhar's 'Oye Oye' Music Review: Originals Are So Much Better

Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Azhar' is going all out on its music numbers. After a great opening to its romantic number 'Bol Do Na Zara', a new song called 'Oye Oye' is out. While the buzz around the new song was that it is a lot similar to the 1989 hit number 'Oye Oye' from 'Tridev', we found out that nothing except for the opening Oye-Oye beats is similar. And we say this after having a lot of false hopes from the song.

As soon as the song starts the old Oye Oye beats play in your head and you get excited because no matter what that song was, it was an insanely amazing dance number. And even today those beats and that song make you groove. But to our disappointment, this is nothing close to it and the lyrics will completely put you off. Neither is the lyrical strong nor is the visualisation. The dancing looks tiresome and boring. It gives you a very discreet 90s feel but that's about it.

    Watch the video here.

And the above video is the reason why we say - originals are so much better! The track was originally composed by the famous duo - Kalyanji – Anandji. Look at the zeal, energy and the enthusiasm with which Naseeruddin Shah dances in the original video.

    Such a delight!
