Despite having found the rough sides of few critics, the Dharma Production’s movie made it big and got largely accepted by the audience.

The film in its second week held itself quite well and maintained consistency by collecting over 2 crores on all days since Monday. The film made it to the 100 crore club on its 14th day which is not bad for a film with the young stars. With this, it has become Varun Dhawan’s third and Alia Bhatt’s second film to have entered the coveted club.

    Record Breaking!

Now here’s what record breaking with Badrinath Ki Dulhania entering the 100 crore club. In an otherwise gloomy looking 2017 that is on the ire for not producing good movies has interestingly delivered its fourth 100 crore movie.

This is for the first time ever that a calendar year has delivered four 100 crore hits in the first quarter itself. Never in the history of Bollywood have we been treated with four 100 crore film in the first three months and if the trend continues to hold strength, we may be in for a bountiful year.

The four 100 crore hits of the year so far are:

    January

    Raees & Kaabil

    February

    Jolly LLB 2

    March

    Badrinath Ki Dulhania

Is this the sign of good things to come?
