Bollywood Quarter Report: The Best Actresses Of 2017 So Far!

The first quarter of the year is already gone. And it had been a pretty mediocre quarter to be honest. There were just a couple of good movies that released and all those failed to create an impact at the box-office. But nonetheless, we saw some really good performances in this short period too.

Here are 5 actresses whose performance wooed us:

1. Swara Bhaskar- Anaarkali of Aarah

She has made some bold choices in her acting career. Her latest movie, Anaarkali of Aarah, was an example. She played a feisty street performer. Her performance was nuanced and terrific. She is unabashed about the choices she has made but she emphasized that consent is a necessity and no means a no!

2. Shweta Tripathi- Haramkhor

It was supposed to be her debut movie. Tripathi played the character of a 14 year old kid who had been manipulated by her teacher. Her performance was way too powerful. It was difficult and stressing, but she played it with perfection. She brought out the innocence of a 14 year old and handled her role with maturity.

3. Aditi Inamdar- Poorna

It might be the first film for the 13 year old, but the Poorna girl had done her homework well and she fitted perfectly into the role of Poorna, who was the youngest girl to climb Mount Everest! Her performance would fill your heart.

4. Sayani Gupta- Jolly LL.B 2

It was a short screen time for the girl. More than a supporting role, she played a cameo. But she managed to carve her way out in the film that had stalwarts like Akshay Kumar, Anu Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Saurav Shukla.  She created such an impact in the movie that it linged throughout the film.

5. Taapsee Pannu- Naam Shabana

She has registered herself in the list of power packed performers with Pink. With Naam Shabana she established herself as a bankable actress. Though the film failed to create an impact at the box-office, her performance was good. The film was criticized for the storyline, but her preparation for the role and her hard work could be seen in the film.
