One of his defining performances came in Vipul Shah's Namastey London. The reason was that he brought together his flamboyant and over-the-top humour of his slapstick films and combined it with more nuanced touhes of his latest roles. The result was a character that was funny, relatable and at times, adorable.

An emotional rollercoaster of a film had many big dramatic moments. And a lot of them came from Akshay Kumar, who went toe-to-toe with Amitabh Bachchan and still shone.
