5 Top Bollywood Actors Who Haven't Done A Sequel Yet
Without being too blunt, Bollywood hasn't really nailed how to make sequels. Our filmmakers have tried its hand at sequels over and over again. But barring a few exceptions, it has failed miserably. So much so that these sequels seem to be transparent attempts at earning more money. And that's precisely why sequels are so big. They are a sure-shot to cash in on already built brand value and, as a result, gross lots and lots of money.
So it's no wonder that the biggest stars in Bollywood have embraced the model with open arms, with some stars even being a part of more than one franchise.
But, like everything, there are exceptions. Whether these actors have exercised conscious choice or whether it is only a matter of time, we'll have to wait and see:
1. Ranbir Kapoor
Even though he has been in the industry for nearly a decade, Ranbir Kapoor has stayed from the whole business of sequels.
2. Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh has done nine films but hasn't shown an affinity towards sequels.
3. Sidharth Malhotra
Unlike Varun Dhawan, who has done two sequels, Sidharth Malhotra hasn't done a sequel yet.
4. Arjun Kapoor
Even though the actor is still in his early days in the industry, Arjun Kapoor hasn't done a sequel so far.
5. Abhay Deol
Amongst the handful of actors who have shied away from the idea of sequels, Abhay Deol is truly an outlier in Bollywood.
