Upcoming 2017 Bollywood Movies That Will See Pakistani Actors In Key Roles!

Bollywood has witnessed a lot of uproar over Pakitani artists working in Indian films after the Indian borders were attacked in the infamous Uri attacks of 2016. Thereafter films that had cast the Pak artists in their projects faced severe threats from the MNS in Maharashtra and had to struggle to release in theatres. Karan Johar had to run from pillar to post to ensure that his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil got released without any protests because Fawad Khan was cast in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan similarly made a pact that if his film Raees, that had Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the lead, is allowed to release smoothly, he won’t collaborate with Pak actors in the future.

After all the hoopla there the protests have eventually died down and here are the upcoming movies of 2017 that will see some Pakistani stars in the lead.

Mom - Sridevi's upcoming film Mom, that is all set to release in July this year will see Pakistani actor Sajal Ali, playing the role of her daughter. The teaser of the film recently released and has pricked a lot to curiosity. Popular TV actor from Pakistan, Adnan Siddiqui is also a part of the project.

In addition to these two films , Mahesh Bhatt has taken a bold step in the direction of initiating peaceful collaborations between the two countries and has approached popular Pakistani artists Ali Zafar and Shafqat Amanat Ali dubbing for his upcoming play that will be staged in Delhi and  Mumbai in June this year. He wants them to record songs based on cross border peace and both have apparently agreed.

We are really glad that these projects have worked out for the makers and are also turning down the heat on the matter. We really hope see a lot more projects with India and Pakistan collaborating for them.
